What is the difference in difficulty and style between CAT, XAT, NMAT, and SNAP?

Body

Hey, I have not attempted any of the MBA examinations and wanted to know if all of the exams, that is, CAT, SNAP, XAT and NMAT are of eqaul difficulty or are they one and the same? Recommendations???

CAT has no negative marking in TITA, XAT has no sectional time limits except for GK, NMAT is adaptive with no negative marking. SNAP has the shortest duration, so you barely get 30 seconds per question. Speed + accuracy is key.

I gave all four. My ranking in terms of difficulty was: XAT > CAT > SNAP > NMAT. For CAT/XAT, focus on logic and reading comprehension. For NMAT/SNAP, focus on solving fast and skipping tricky ones quickly.

I found CAT to test depth of concepts, while XAT tests how you think. NMAT and SNAP are more about speed and strategy. If you're preparing for CAT, you're already 70% ready for the rest, just tweak your test-taking approach. XAT’s Essay + Decision Making sets it apart. DM is tricky, requires practice with past year papers. NMAT allows multiple attempts, so use that strategically. SNAP is random in question distribution, can’t rely on a fixed strategy.

CAT is logic-intensive with a tough DILR section. XAT is more verbal and philosophical in nature, its decision-making section is unique. NMAT is speed-based and easier but requires high accuracy. SNAP is time-pressured with GK earlier (now removed).
